News Release: Hurricane Debris Collection to Begin Monday

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 4, 2024) – Charlotte County’s hurricane debris contractor will begin collections on Monday. The contractor will focus at first on areas impacted by storm surge.

Debris must be placed on the side of the road in front of residents’ properties. Debris must be separated in the following categories: construction and demolition materials, electronic waste, white goods and vegetation. Regular household garbage and recycling must be placed in Waste Management garbage and recycling carts, which will be collected on regular pick-up days.

Debris will not be collected at businesses or on private residential roads, such as those in gated communities.
